literary texts in order to improve their motivation and language skills. To achieve the aim of the study, the mixed-method approach was used to collect the required data. Both of observation and questionnaire were utilized as research instruments. Also, findings from observation by the researcher revealed the use of visual aids during the lecture was effective. The study concludes that the use of visual aids enables the students to engage closely with literary texts. Although the students had positive attitudes towards the use of visual aids, the study
