Translation and the Challenge of Interpretation Between the Creativity Horizon and the Origin Authority

This paper aims to explain the effectiveness of the translation process in transmitting texts
and terms across different languages and cultures, and to clarify challenges which facing this
act of translation. The act which is very complicated especially in literary translation and, in
general, humanities translation. In this type of translation, the interpretation becomes
necessity, accordingly, the translator will not transfer the text , as a text, as much as his own
understanding of that text. This is why we find many different translations for the same text.
So, the problematic of this article is based on the following main question: what remains
from the original of texts in its trip between cultures and languages?
