Abstract

To give new impetus to oral practice in French as a foreign language (FLE) classes, the Algerian school has adopted a method in the form of workshops commonly called the Shared Reflection Workshop.  These Workshops provide a space where students can interact, discuss, and reflect collectively on multiple topics. The main objective of this research work is to know the effect of these workshops on the language skills of middle cycle learners. To do this, we will take a close look at how these workshops would encourage active participation, discussion and exchange of ideas and, therefore, could influence both comprehension and expression as well as vocabulary acquisition. This article will also attempt to highlight the mechanisms by which this type of workshop could really help the development of the language skills of 4th A.M students in a FLE class.
