This article examines the scriptural practices of Algerian college students between conventional standardized writing and transgressive freed writing. Our objective is to know, in the digital era, the school and extra-curricular writing practices of pupils, the languages and the aids used in writing in and outside the classroom as well as the difficulties encountered by these learners in the framework of school writing in FFL. The data from this research indicates a growing interest of learners in digital out-of-school writing; an interest out of phase with class practices which remain obsolete and traditionalist. Thus, to increase interest in school writing among these digital natives (Prensky: 2001), it is necessary to vary the digital writing situations and train teachers to adopt new approaches to the teaching of written production that are in line with current developments. Indeed, it is essential to integrate ICT in FFL class because they make it possible to transform this normative anxietyinducing activity into a collaborative activity more accessible to learners
