Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the interactions between human capital, trade openness, and foreign direct investments, as well as their impacts on economic development in Algeria during the period 1980-2022. The methodology employed in this research involves estimating an Autoregressive Distributed Lag model. The results of our analysis indicate that the level of development of human capital in Algeriais not sufficiently high to effectively absorb foreign technology transmitted through foreign direct investments.
