The Editorial Board of the North African Economies Journal is pleased to present to its esteemed readers the fortieth issue of the Journal, continuing a steadfast scientific journey towards promoting rigorous research in the fields of economics, development, and public policies, with a particular focus on issues pertaining to the Euro-Mediterranean area, Africa, and the Arab world.

This issue reflects an epistemological and methodological diversity that combines theoretical analysis with applied study, addressing contemporary topics related to logistics performance, maritime transport, digital transformation, microfinance, quality of banking services, smart governance, and sustainable tourism development. It is further distinguished by contributions from researchers from Algeria, Iraq, Sudan, Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Tanzania, thereby strengthening the journal's international dimension and opening broader horizons for South-South and North-South scientific exchange.

The issue opens with a study on the "Analysis of Logistics Performance in Euro-Mediterranean Countries: Reality and Challenges," which sheds light on the position of these countries within global supply chains and the structural challenges they face. Another study discusses the "Impact of the Transport Sector in Iraq - The Maritime Sector as a Model," highlighting the importance of maritime transport in supporting economic activity and enhancing integration into international trade.

In the financial domain, one research paper addresses the "Factors Affecting Customer Satisfaction with Electronic Banking Services in Sudanese Commercial Banks," reflecting the digital transformations within the banking industry. Another study discusses the "Expansion of Microfinance as an Approach to Enhancing the Financial Sustainability of Commercial Banks" through an applied case study, highlighting the role of financial inclusion in achieving a balance between profitability and social responsibility.

Interest extends to the field of governance through a study on the "Requirements for Implementing Smart Regulatory Governance in Saudi Sports Institutions," within the context of institutional transformation based on digitalization and efficiency. In the developmental context, the issue includes a collection of studies on sustainable tourism development in Algeria and the experiences of Euro-Mediterranean countries, linking theoretical dimensions with practical application and anticipating prospects for sector development in light of national strategic plans and Vision 2030.

The issue also features three articles in English, reflecting the journal's openness to the international scientific community.
