Abstract

The objective of the study is to present the different specification tests used to determine the appropriate model for modeling panel data. These tests were applied to data on public debt and tax revenue from the three countries of the Arab Maghreb, in order to determine whether the accumulation of public debt has an effect on the mobilization of tax revenue in those countries.
The study concluded that the fixed individual effects model is the appropriate one, the estimate of the latter shows a negative impact of indebtedness on the tax revenues of these countries
