In summary, the purpose of a company name and product name is to distinguish the entityinquestion from others in the same field. This is particularly important in the context of businessonomastics, where a new company or product is born and requires a name. It is important tonotethat the birth of a company or product is always associated with the attribution of a name. This isthecase in the field of business onomastics. A new company or a new product is born, and their birthcertificates require a name for them to emerge. This leads de facto to the choice of a name for boththe company and its product, so that it is recognised and recognisable both in the commercial
register and on the market. This paper presents the findings of research conducted on a corpusof
Algerian company names and agri-food and cosmetics products. The article primarily addressesthequestion of the construction of company and product names in Algerian reality and the valueof
these names in commercial onomastics.
