Abstract

In its migration from its source environment to the Arabic language, the term is exposed to a number of factors that prevent it from achieving the desired goal because of the differences between the two cultures, the lack of consideration for the cognitive context from which the term was issued, and its extensions in the cultural context that embraced it, as well as the noncompliance with the necessary conditions for translating this term, Therefore, the aim of the present paper is to shed light on the challenges of translating the critical term by reviewing some of the terms used in Arabic criticism field according to an analytical approach, By finding out its reasons, justifications for its rejection and acceptance, and its impact on criticism, Without forgetting to address the serious attempts to reduce this problem.
