This study aims to focus on the "Cat bond" concept that embodies the transfer of catastrophic risks to financial markets, while trying to design a structure conducive to the Algerian case, the results of our study show that the Algerian state has imposed the obligation to take out insurance against CAT-NAT but it is clear that the penetration rate of this type of insurance remains low and that the establishment of a typical cat bond structure in Algeria disengages the public treasury in terms of catastrophic risk management and will have a positive impact on Algeria's public finances.
