Abstract

Translation into and from Arabic has been and still suffers from a real crisis. This is what prompted us, in our study entitled “Reality and crisis of translation in the Arab world”, to ask ourselves the following main question: what are the causes of this translation crisis? We have attempted to answer this question by posing some hypotheses …Our objective in this study was based on knowing the causes of the crisis. We used induction, note-taking, description and analysis in this study, and we vaunted on our experience and the experience of our
colleagues in the practice and teaching of translation, experience of professionals and publishers, as well as some previous studies in this field.
