Determinants of the green economy in Egypt

Abstract

The study aims to test the determinants of the green economy in the Egyptian economy using data for the period (1990-2021), Where the study assumes that the determinants of the green economy in the Egyptian economy are the percentage of renewable energy and combustible waste, the percentage of arable land, the percentage of fossil fuel energy consumption.
The results of the study found that there is a positive relationship between the green economy and the percentage of renewable energy and combustible waste, There is also a positive relationship between the green economy and the percentage of arable land, and a negative relationship between the green economy and the percentage of fossil fuel energy consumption.
