Abstract:
This study examined the effectiveness of an educational program based on the systemic approach in improving teaching practices and reducing teaching anxiety among student teachers in the Department of Sport Sciences and Physical Activity at Unaizah Colleges. The researchers employed an experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The main sample consisted of 15 student teachers, while the study tools included a teaching practices checklist and a teaching anxiety scale. The findings revealed significant post-intervention improvement in teaching practices, along with a significant reduction in teaching anxiety. The results also indicated a significant relationship between teaching practices and teaching anxiety, suggesting that better teaching performance was associated with lower levels of anxiety. The study concluded that the proposed program was effective in enhancing teaching practices and alleviating teaching anxiety among student teachers.
