Plagiarism
Carefully checks all submissions for plagiarism. To this end, we use the necessary tools to prevent such practices.
Unacceptable research practices include fabrication, falsification and plagiarism. They are described as follows:
- Fabrication involves inventing results and recording them as if they were genuine.
- Falsification is the manipulation of materials, equipment or research processes, or the modification, omission or deletion of data or results without justification.
- Plagiarism is the use of work and ideas from others without reference to the original source, thereby violating the rights of the original author(s) to their intellectual output.
Furthermore, the journal does not tolerate duplicate submissions, i.e. where the same manuscript has been submitted to different journals or online platforms.
If any manuscript clearly presenting signs of plagiarism exceeding a similarity threshold of no more than 25% it will be automatically rejected and we reserve the right to take action including, but not limited to: publishing an erratum or corrigendum (correction); retracting the article; taking up the matter with the head of department or dean of the author's institution and/or relevant academic bodies or societies; or taking appropriate legal action.
