"Tourism Sustainability in Sudan Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS)"

Abstract

Abstract:

  This research  studies   the development of tourism  in Sudan using geographic information systems. So , the main research question is : What are the touristic  potentials and what role to they play in the Sudanese economy? This principle question  is divided into the following sub-questions : How can geographic information systems be used in tourism in Sudan? And what are the problems facing tourism in Sudan? Several results were found; the most important ones are : Sudan possesses a great touristic potentials  and geographic information systems have enormous benefits in tourism study and planning  in addition to their contribution to improve performance  efficiency and quality in this area and ingenuity in the analysis to support decision-making processes.

ملخص

       تناولت هذه الدراسة تطور السياحة في السودان باستخدام نظم المعلومات الجغرافية ، وتمثلت مشكلة البحث في السؤال الرئيس التالي : ما هي مقومات السياحة ودورها في الاقتصاد السوداني ؟ وتتفرع منه الأسئلة التالية : كيف يمكن الاستفادة من تقنية نظم المعلومات الجغرافية في السياحة في السودان ؟ وما هي المشكلات التي تواجه السياحة  في السودان ؟ وتم التوصل إلى العديد من النتائج أهمها  ، توجد مقومات كبيرة للسياحة في السودان ، كما توجد فوائد كبيرة لنظم المعلومات الجغرافية في مجال دراسة وتخطيط السياحة ، وان إسهاماتها المهمة تستطيع أن تحسن من كفاءة وجودة الأداء في هذا المجال وبراعة في التحليل لخدمة ودعم عمليات اتخاذ القرار .
